At TSECC, we believe in serving and when we say “serve,” we are referring to the act of using our time, talents, and resources to help others and to advance God’s kingdom. Serving others is seen as an important aspect of Christian discipleship, and is modeled after Jesus Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45).

Our serving take many forms, including volunteering at a local charity or non-profit organization, serving in a ministry within the church, participating in a mission trip or outreach event, or simply offering help to a friend or neighbor in need. The goal of serving is not to gain recognition or praise, but to express love and compassion for others and to share the love of Christ in practical ways.

Christians believe that serving others is an important part of their spiritual journey, and that it is a way to honor God and live out their faith in practical ways. Serving also provides an opportunity to build relationships, deepen one’s understanding of God’s love and grace, and to grow in one’s own spiritual maturity. Ultimately, the act of serving is seen as a way to love and serve others as Christ loved and served us.
